Arachne Sweater

I’m starting to see Arachne with short sleeves. Maybe I won’t order more yarn. And the PSL socks were supposed to be completed for TWT Sock Sprint today and I didn’t even finish one! Oh well. It’s just knitting.

You know what I did do? Applied for a grant for work.

I also had kind of a rough week with digestive issues. I guess I’ve developed another allergy, this time to chickpeas. Which is sad, because no more hummus. But I’ve been running regularly, which is pretty exciting.

Welp I twisted it. So I had to frog the whole thing. I also decided I don’t like this color combo, so I’ve ordered some charcoal with lavender for the spider web. I’m more likely to wear those colors. It may be a couple of weeks before I cast on again, but hopefully I’ll have the yarn in my hands for our next virtual knit along!

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the first date of Bob and myself, and also the 8th anniversary of when Bob proposed. To celebrate, we watched a virtual tour of the Winchester Mystery House and ate mango sorbet. (We ate mango sorbet on our first date.) Did you know Sarah Winchester liked the spider web pattern and felt it was spiritually significant? She used it on many stained glass windows in the Winchester Mystery House, which brings me full circle.

This Forbidden Fibers Gluttony Sport in Earl Grey came to me in a FibreShare package. There’s just enough for the main color in Arachne.

The Knitted Wit Victory Fingering in Carnelian came to me at my LYS’s holiday gift exchange. It says fingering, but if it is, it is very close to sport. I knit a swatch and the two yarns look identical in weight.

I hit gauge and I have my Arachne yarn! And I can save my Oa yarn for my Oa! When does the knitalong start?
