Below is an updated half-year list that I will continue to edit as I complete and add new items. Scroll all the way to the bottom for my resolution. Don’t feel like you need to look at my list unless you want to.

Fiber Art
- I have a solo show in September 2021, and I need to make a body of work for this show. My goal is 12 pieces. 7/12 finished.
- I’m dyeing my own wool for this work. Above is sky blue and a mix of spruce and kelly green I’m calling Black Forest. Next up is a deep, rich brown. These are two different fibers: merino and shetland. They take the dye a little differently.

Not into it right now. Back burner.
My One Resolution for 2021
I don’t normally make resolutions, but this year I’m going to listen to more music, intentionally. I normally listen to music all day while I’m working, but it’s the local public radio station. I like the music they play, but it’s passive listening. And I listen to Celtic fiddle music when I run.
For New Year’s Eve, Bob and I watched the first movie we bonded over. There’s a song in it by Gogol Bordello, and it’s kind of an ear worm, but I love it. So yesterday, I listened to a Gogol Bordello Essentials playlist while I vacuumed the house and had a really good time singing along.
My friend Sharon recommended I watch that movie, so she kind of started the whole thing. She’s blogging again, so check it out if you feel like it. I hope she will turn her comments on.
I love you so much!!!

Naughty JoJo! Have I seen your knitting alpacas material that sounds so cool. I am keen to practice my sewing but think PJs is a long way in the future. Allistar and 2 of his mates are each choosing their favourite song from 1960 to current day, so we have been listening to more music than normal. He still hasn’t picked 1961 song so it’s going to take quite a while and should mean we listen to more and watch less TV. You are doing really well on your list and I’m excited to see your new works for your show

Thanks Liz! Allistar should post those songs somewhere. That would open us all up to more music! PJ pants are pretty easy. They would be a good first garment, I think. A simple bag would be easier, though.

Yes a bag is on my list I think. I doubt he’s writing them down except in his WhatsApp with his mates. I chose an Etta James song for 1961 and My Old Man’s a Dustman for 1960…it makes me smile.

I hope when the show is running, you will post a link for your work! I really love textile based art, and yours is very beautiful.

Reading your lists made me tired! It all sounds wonderful, and I’m sure the work will fill your new year with contentment and finished objects.

WOW, you are definitely busy!! Love your resolution to listen to more music. Have to admit I love my Amazon echos and listen to lots more music as a result. How lazy can you be to not be able to walk over to the radio but instead yell at the Echo but that’s me. Do you like Lindsey Sterling? Yeah, I’ve had practice the piano on my goals list for 2 years. Never going to happen I guess. I’ve lost so much skill that it’s frustrating to sit at the piano again. I’d rather knit than practice. 🙂

Your lists are impressive. Enjoy your show. How exciting that will be. Make sure you take lots of pictures to show us. That tunic design you are planning looks fabulous.

You are getting so much done, and so much cool stuff yet to be! Love all of your projects so far. That plaid flannel is gorgeous! Listening to more music rather than watching stuff is a very good idea – I need to think about that. We kind of got in a situation where we don’t really have a good way to listen to music right now. My laptop is the “sound system” for the house, and it’s not a very good one.

We don’t have a very good way to listen to music either. Maybe I should get a speaker of some sort. I will think about that too.

Listening to music is a great resolution. I may join you in that while I walk instead of podcasts, or at least mix it up a bit. I want to read more this year. More novels, and more spiritual musings.

I would love to read more. It’s so hard to fit in all the things!

I love that you are having a show! Your cowl is amazing. I enjoy your lists!! sometimes I listen to music that is just repetitive and i love it. Remember the monks who made the chanting record? I love to listen to the monks. (as in, while I am in the dentists chair or taking off on a plane)
That sweater the Arrowhead looks like a fantastic garment . WOW.

I also love repetitive music. I think I’m going to start listening to Inuit throat singing. I find it very soothing.

That is a serious pom pom on your Saffron Hat. I just made my first pom pom and it turned out very sadly.

The solo show sounds exciting! The resolution is a cool one (but I blame you for the Start Wearing Purple earworm I’ve got now).
