I was so excited to receive my zipper and button kit from Japan, I ran right to the studio after a hard day’s work. Welp, I should’ve known better. I should have taken a break before sewing because I got confused (old) and ruined the zipper.
It’s ok, I guess. It was too long anyway, and I was trying to make it work. I ordered a shorter zipper (not from Japan this time) so hopefully I can install it next week.
I made some belt loops. Ta da!
I’ve done similar. It’s a lesson I’ve failed to learn. Your belt loops look great. I’m sure you’ll get the next zipper in with no issues (I hope).

Thank you. I hope so. I would love for these jeans to work out well!

Oh I always do that when I don’t sit and have a cup of tea first

You could also rip out a zipper from an old pair of jeans if it’s the right size, or from a pair bought at the thrift store.

That’s so smart! I didn’t think about that. Next time!

I know what you mean. I’m taking my time with sewing to avoid ruining things. It’s been years now… but I’m slowly getting back to sewing and you’ve been my inspiration. No pressure 🙂

Haha! Well I’m glad to inspire. At least my foibles keep it real!

Oh, absolutely. I’d freak out if there were no foibles 🙂
